Do It Yourself Software?

A lot of folks out there prefer to do their own taxes themselves. If you find that sort of thing fun (like I actually do) then more power to you! but for those do-it-yourselfer's that hate tax preparation the software available commercially may not give you the greatest bang for you buck.

For taxpayers with generally simple returns the software is going to ask a lot of questions that a.) don't apply and b.) will be needlessly confusing to the amateur tax filer.

For taxpayers with more complicated returns, the software is a little bit more cost-effective, but the fact of the matter is that complicated returns are, well...complicated. You may be able to push your way through the software's questions, but how can you be sure you aren't missing something?

I've done a lot of returns for folks of all different tax brackets and levels of difficulty. I've also reviewed a lot of these returns prepared with the do it yourself software and guess what? They are usually full of errors and omissions. The result is usually an overpayment of taxes or a reduction of refund.

Our fees are comparable to the major do-it-yourself options available for purchase. For a lot of taxpayers it will be a substantial savings. What you get in return is an experienced, professional tax preparer who will carefully review your tax situation and complete your return for you. Hassle free and cost effective? You bet, that's Common Sense.

Check out our website, email me your questions, see if my service meets your needs.
